REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR: 2024 – 25

St. Michael’s School announces the commencement of its registration process as per the availability of seats for the 2024 – 25 academic year. 

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • Registration for admission must be done online through the school website www.stmichaels.edu.in
  • REGISTRATION FEE: Rs. 1,500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) to be payable at the School office when submitting the form against the registration fee.

FILLING & SUBMISSION OF THE REGISTRATION FORM

  • The online registration form will be available on the school website till the 10th of February 2024
  • All fields in the online form marked with a red* are mandatory and must be mandatorily filled in. 
  • Details provided at the time of registration cannot be subsequently changed in the admission form. Hence, kindly enter the details correctly and precisely as per the documentary evidence available.
  • After successfully filling out the registration form, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email ID of the parent.
  • Parents must affix the candidate’s and their recent passport-size colour photographs on the printed registration form in the space provided. They must certify that all information is correct by signing in the space provided in the form.
  • After that, the parents have to submit the printout of the filled form along with all the required documents and photographs to the school premises as per the selected date and time slot. The self-attested copies of the listed documents are to be enclosed at the time of submission of the registration form at the school office:
    • BIRTH CERTIFICATE: Certificate of proof of age in the form of a birth certificate as issued by the authority competent (i.e., Notified Area Council / Municipality / Municipal Corporation / extract about the date of birth from records of Village Panchayat, Military Hospital and service records of Defence personnel) to register births.
    • PROOF OF RESIDENCE: 
      • Photocopy of residence proof (i.e., Ration Card / Smart Card, Domicile Certificate, Voter ID Card, Telephone Bill / Electricity Bill, or any government-issued ID card.)
      • Aadhaar Card: (Child + Parents)
    • BLOOD GROUP REPORT: Photocopy of the report stating the child’s blood group.
    • COMMUNITY CERTIFICATE: For children belonging to the SC / ST / OBC category, a certificate stating that the child belongs to the said category (as applicable) issued by the competent authority must be provided.
    • Recent POST CARD size family photograph. (A family photograph with all the family members, including father, mother and all the siblings.)
    • TWO recent coloured passport-size photographs of the child, i.e. 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm).
    • Copy of the Report Card / Progress Report (Mid-term) of the child from the current school (Class 2 onwards)
  • Registration forms with incomplete documents will NOT be accepted.
  • DO NOT fold / damage the Registration Form nor make any stray marks.

TEACHER INTERACTION / ASSESSMENT

  • The admission process includes an academic assessment followed by an interaction to help assess the child.
  • After the form submission, the student will be called for a Teacher Interaction & an Assessment, the details (i.e., date and time) of which will be provided to the parent at the time of form submission.
  • Students should prepare themselves as per the syllabus provided, as they will also be assessed on the said day, followed by interaction with the teacher, the result of which will be declared on the school notice board within one week.
  • No alteration or rescheduling of the Assessment / Teacher Interaction Session is allowed. Absence at the allotted date and time will cancel the candidate’s name from all further processes and result in the forfeiture of the Registration Fee. Requests for a change in date and / or time will not be entertained. Such emails / applications will not be responded to.
  • Re-assessment will not be allowed, and any child not appearing for this process will lead to the cancellation of their registration form.

PROVISIONAL ADMISSION

  • If the child’s name is shortlisted, the parents will have to take the provisional admission of the child within ten days of the declaration of the result and upon submitting the required fees.
  • Only both parents will be required to visit the school office to complete the admission formalities if their child is selected for provisional admission. 
  • NO EXTENSION OF THE DATE WILL BE GRANTED FOR TAKING PROVISIONAL ADMISSION.
  • It is only after the submission of the following documents by the 14th of March 2024 that the provisional admission will be confirmed, and the child will be added to the relevant section:
    • PHOTOCOPY OF THE REPORT CARD (It is mandatory that the child should have passed the current class in which he/she is studying.)
    • TRANSFER CERTIFICATE (Original – Last attended school)
    • Aadhaar Consent form (For the creation of APAAR ID)
  • Non-submission of either of the above documents will cancel the provisional admission.

NOTE

  • Mere registration and submission of the registration form at the school office DO NOT confer a right to admission to any child.
  • Please check the dates for the admission procedure and adhere to them strictly.
  • Admission secured based on any wrong / forged certificate shall be cancelled by the School immediately, and no appeal against such action shall be entertained.
  • In case of any problem filling out the registration form, please email admissions@stmichaelsranchi.com giving full particulars and the nature of the problem. Please do not call the school office. All emails will be replied to within two working days.
  • Any fee paid to the school is not transferable under any circumstances nor refundable in case of cancellation of admission.
  • The Management reserves the right to have the last word in all matters related to admission.
